Meet our Founder and Director Mr Derick Joachim Mmassy, Visionary, Strategic, Focused, seasoned adventurer and nature enthusiast with a deep-rooted passion for wildlife and the great outdoors. Armed with a Bsc in Information Managment Systems at Tumaini University Dar es Salaam.
He brings a unique blend of academic knowledge and hands-on experience to our tour company.
With 6 years of experience in Management , Entrepreneurship exploring and studying various ecosystems, he has cultivated an in-depth understanding of nature’s intricate balance. Their expertise spans from the lush rainforests of Tanzania to the rugged terrains of Tanznia making them a reliable source of insight into the diverse landscapes we traverse.
But it’s not just about knowledge; it’s about heart. His unwavering passion for wildlife conservation and sustainable, he started an NGO called Voyage Tanzania that deals with wildlife , Environmental and Climate Conservation in Tanzania.
The NGO has played a part in contribution to wilidlfe and tourism within the locals and awareness plus education on Climate change and how to conservation the environment within the locals and how the can through benefiting rather than destroying and more . Derick’s travel fuels their commitment to sharing the wonders of the natural world with others. Through guided tours and captivating narratives, they inspire participants to develop a deeper appreciation for the environment and a strong desire to protect it for future generations.
Beyond their love for nature, he is a born leader. The experience in organizing and leading expedition teams showcases their exceptional leadership skills. They thrive on fostering a sense of camaraderie among travelers, turning each journey into a transformative experience where participants not only learn but also forge lifelong connections.
Dorin Joachim Mmasi from Tanzania, is a believer in purpose. Dorin is a Social Entrepreneur Co-Founder of Fly Africa Safaris a tour company that runs tourism activities and Co-Founder of Voyage Tanzania NGO which deals with Environment and Wildlife conservation. She is a graduate of BSc in Family and Consumer Studies at Sokoine University of Agriculture in the Morogoro region.
She has a work experience as an assistant reservation manager dealing with processing online payments via the TANAPA database system, drafting itineraries for safari and mountain climbing, facilitating tourist airport transfers, providing briefing about the safaris, accompanying tourists on their trips as a company representative, assisted cooks in shopping for camping ingredients, assisted in making reservations for hotels and lodges and facilitated receipt payments
She has 2 years of working experience as a Digital Program Coordinator at Asante Africa Foundation empowering youth and teachers with 21st-century digital skills in using the digital smart kits towards accessing learning materials that help students access digitalized materials towards accelerated learning in the classroom. She has also collaborated with different organizations including the Youth Dream Mapping Organization (YDMO) in creating awareness and training young girls that are in primary schools on the dangers of STIs (Sexual Transmitted Diseases), FGM (Female Genital Mutilation), Early Marriage, Gender Based Violence and Sexual Reproductive health aiming to help young girls in Maasai Communities (Monduli Area in Arusha) to access education and overcome cultural Barriers that hinder their health and their future careers. She has managed to train around 1080 young girls across 6 schools for 3 years in Monduli District, Arusha, Tanzania.
Dorin is currently a Master of Public Health Student. She is Passionate in improving creating spaces for improving health welfare within our communities through health diplomacy that will promote intervention studies that help to solve epidemiological problems in the community and the health facilities.
